After two nights of, well, not too much sleep we finally left Lund on Saturday afternoon. Jörg had eventually packed his stuff and cleaned his room, I had survived an endless hour in the kitchen of the student residence (but that’s a different story) and so nothing could go wrong anymore | See the pictures
From Lund we headed north towards Vässingsö south of Göteborg where we camped on a parking somewhere in the middle of the small village.
From there it was only a short drive to Göteborg the next morning. Having parked in a very exclusive car park (SEK 20/hour) we explored the city for a couple of hours, drank a tea on top of the viepoint Utkiken right next to the harbour and enjoyed the spectacular view over the city.
The next destination were the two islands of Tjörn and Orust with their picturesque fishing villages, especially Rönnäng on Tjörn and Mollösund on Orust. Close to latter we also found a place for the night, a beautiful spot on a rocky hill, overgrown with purple flowers – and lots of gnats. The music of the night came from Jörgs guitar and a huge wind engine that spun its circles right above our heads …
Later in the night two girls in a car drove up the hill and stopped a bit further for a BBQ and some beer but no matter how hard we tried to impress them with singing and picking the guitar strings they wouldn’t come over – maybe the turbine was too loud? So we went to bed alone after a huge pot full of rice and dumplings. The little bit of rain in the middle of the night wasn’t too bad only that I needed to have a slash outside (no Jörg, the camper DOESN’T have a built-in toilet!).
On the last drop of fuel in the tank we arrived at a gas station and from then on we went all the way up to Vestby (a small town about 50 km south of Oslo) where we’re staying right now at my parents’ friends house. Unfortunately the computer her doesn’t have USB so I can’t upload any photos yet.
