Warning Summary
A severe weather warning is current for the central district, including Melbourne, for very windy conditions. A fire weather warning is current for very high to extreme fire danger for the central district, including Melbourne until midnight. A road weather alert is current.
Forecast for Wednesday evening
Gusty northerly wind shifting squally west to southwesterly during this evening. Areas of raised dust. A brief shower tending to rain periods later. Possible hail and thunder later tonight.
New bike (again)
I know, I just bought a bike a couple of weeks ago. And it is still running, although I have to admit that meanwhile even $50 seem to be too much. But never mind. And then, last week, a dude from the climbing gym advertises his almost new Kona Coiler. That’s 150mm travel front and rear plus some upgrades such as XTR rear and XT front derailer and some Tioga parts. I checked it out yesterday – and bought it. It’s in a really good condition and definitely a bargain. As an early Easter egg he added two Look click pedals to the package.
Brad, from whom I bought the bike, happens to work in a consulting company and we had chat about jobs. I’ll send him my CV and who knows, maybe something comes out of it!
New address
On 1 March we moved into this nice little place in Hawthorn. Lindsay helped us a lot, providing his uncles trailer and his own manpower to shift the furniture and several boxes. The appartments location near the river, BBQ facilities just a few meters away and the proximity to city and Bridge Road with all their shops and restaurants is a really nice change to the somewhat more remote North Balwyn. A great deal of furnishing has to be done yet but we’re getting there. If only the TV worked so I can watch Lost …
The map shows actually some more places around Melbourne where I am somehow connected to.
The new address is
