Gallery is now multilingual
Dienstag, Oktober 31st, 2006From now the Gallery can be viewed in English and German. Again it depends strongly on whether or not I find the time to translate the image captions.

Yesterday Mic popped by spontaneously and with him he brought a wide range of ingredients for his special creation, the “Mic’s Super Salad”: In about 40 min he managed to arrange different lattuces, roasted red capsicum, bean sprouts, mushrooms, red onions, carrots, young spinach, tomatoes (fresh as well as sundried), corn, chicken, avocado, cheese cubes and probably a lot more … dressed with italian sauce and served on a huge plate.
To enjoy this masterpiece it took us more than an hour and the support of Jesper and Skye who were ordered to have a snack.
On Sunday October 29th at 2am the Daylight saving time has begun in Melbourne. So from now on the difference between Melbourne and Germany is 10 hours instead of 8h.

A week ago I met Adrian at the local boulder wall, and yesterday we already went climbing together to the Werribee Gorge. This crag is located about one hour by car west of Melbourne. It offers only a few sport climbs but some easy trad routes. A good opportunity for me to try my first trad leading, a style of climbing that I haven’t really done so far. It’s definitely more intensive if you have to trust the placements that are put in the wall by yourself. Even though the grade is fairly low so one should be able climb that easily. | See the pictures …
A temperature of 35 degrees means there is only one thing to do: chilling at the St. Kilda Beach …
A water temperature of 16 degrees is not really warm but very refreshing. | See the pictures …
Just in time I updated my cultural knowledge by visiting the “Picasso – Love & War 1935-1945″ exhibition last week that took place in the National Gallery of Victoria.
Beforehand I had hardly anything known about Picasso (not even the fact that he was living in the 20th century); most of his paintings I didn’t really like, in fact there was not a single one that I’d call nice. But some were definetly interesting. Especially the part of the exhibition that showed the photographs taken by his muse wasn’t up my alley whereas some of his pencil sketches were pretty impressive. The ones that I liked the most were his mor colourful paintings like those deformed faces.
Unfortunately there are only a few photos as I got caught by the secutrity relativly early – I must have missed some prohibition sign. | See the pictures …
Well, as long as I feel like translating a new post into another language.
But at least the language of the page in general can now be switched by clicking on one of the flags in the sidebar. The blog memorises the setting for the next visit. And bit by bit missing translations will be added, too.
