The other night at the Moonlight Cinema we saw “3.10 To Yuma”. If you like Western then you should definitely go and see it. A story about honor, bullets and a really cool bad guy …
I also managed to get some interesting shots of the Australia Day fireworks!

A couple of weeks ago I caught up with Rich at the Grampians. He had posted on Chockstone.org that he was looking for a climbing partner and I was free so why not shoot up to the Grampians for a couple of days? I also met Peter there, an Italian traveller. For the first time I went to Mt. Arapiles, one of the best crags in Australia. Mainly trad climbing and perfect rock in a nice setting. Here you can see the pictures in the Gallery.
I’ve also tried to find a bike pretty much since I arrived – several auctions on ebay I just missed due to stupidity or other bikes got sold minutes before I called the owner. Finally I found a stylish street racer that will hopefully last a couple of months – that’s all I’m expecting for 50 bucks.

The other day Julie got admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court. Quite a long ceremony followed by an $800 lunch (for five!) at Silks in the Crown complex. Yummy! | See the pictures

It’s been almost a year now when I took off in Munich, off to Australia, not knowing exactly what to exspect. And now there are only a few weeks left before my plane departs from Melbourne. Monday 4. June in the evening I’ll enter the plane; after a short stop over in Dubai I’ll be back in Germany on Wednesday 6. June and back in Konstanz probably on the 7th.
As usually after such stays, you never quite know whether you’re sad or happy – I reckon I’ll be both. Happy ‘cos finally I’ll have my friends, family and the alps (you wouldn’t believe how much you can miss them, just the view) nearby; sad, because obviously there are quite a few things to be left behind, things and people that I’ve become fond of over the last year …

I wish you all a happy new year! Hope you had at least as much fun as I had at my NYE party …

Hab mir grad zum zweiten Mal innerhalb von zwei Wochen die DVD angeschaut – ich kann nur sagen, klasse Film! Grob gesagt gehts um Rassismus in Los Angeles, erzählt wird das Ganze an Hand verschiedener, ineinander verworrener Einzelhandlungen. Wenn ihr also an einem nass-kalten Herbstabend nicht wißt was tun: ab in die Videothek und L.A. Crash ausleihen!
